Research focus

Professor Michael Lerch’s research focuses on Electronic properties of semiconductors for the design and development of novel, solid state based radiation detectors. Real-time devices/instrumentation designed to operate in vivo for targeted diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy. Optimising radiation medicine through the physical and semiconducting properties of engineered nano-ceramics in different radiation field environments (e.g. photons/charged particles).
