Research focus
My research focuses on apolipoprotein structure and function in the brain. We recently discovered an antioxidant function for apolipoprotein D in the brain. We also identified a neuroprotective function for a fragment of apolipoprotein E we identified in the brain. Both discoveries shed light on the causes of Alzheimer’s disease.
